    Countermarked "J W LAWSON / CENTER STREET / CORRY / PA / MARKET / JULY X / LXXIV"
    Issuer: J. W. Lawson (or J. M. Lawson)
    Date of Issue: July 10, 1874 (?)
    Place of Issue: Corry, Pennsylvania
    Stamped in individual letters. Uses Roman numerals for the date. The word "CETER" is misspelled in the countermark. The "W" is an upside down "M". The Roman numerals "LXXIV" equal 74, which probably stands for 1874 (July 10, 1874).
    Center Street is the "Main Street" of Corry, Pennsylvania. It appears on old postcards (see the pictures for this lot). Further research is needed on this one.
